Meet Kevin
For years, I thought everyone else
found life just as hard as I did.
I didn't realise I was carrying an invisible backpack that most people weren't.
From the outside, things looked fine. Behind the scenes, I was putting far more effort into everyday life than I understood at the time.
I thought the answer was simple: try harder.

Diagnosed with ADHD as a child.
Then told I didn't have it anymore.
I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child in the United States and prescribed Ritalin for around three years.
Then came two sentences that shaped the next thirty plus years of my life:
"You're doing much better now."
"You don't have ADHD/Hyperactivity anymore."
So I believed it and so did my parents.
For years afterwards, when things felt harder than it seemed to for everyone else, the answer was simple:
Try harder
Be more disciplined
Get organised
From the outside, life looked successful.

22 Years in kitchens
I spent over twenty years in professional kitchens, twelve of those years as a Head Chef, leading busy teams where pressure, organisation and quick decision-making were part of everyday life.
Leadership & business
Later, I moved into corporate, spending years with tech companies. I worked with entrepreneurs across the UK and Europe and led a business development team in a fast paced environment.
Husband & Dad
Those experiences shaped who I became as a leader, but they also hid how much harder i was working behind the scenes.

Some of the most capable people quietly believe they're falling behind.
I understood that feeling better than I realised.
